About WilsdenHub

The Wilsden Hub was established to provide a virtual community hub for all residents of Wilsden. It was set up by Lisa Firth, a Wilsdener who noticed that in order to find out about village events, it was necessary to visit several different websites: the Facebook feed to the New Inn pub, the Twitter feed of Wilsden Primary School, the news section of the Village Hall website, and so on. Her aim was to collate all of this information in one place, providing a one-stop site where villagers could find out what was happening in their local community and get involved. It was her hope that this would nurture the strong community spirit of Wilsden village.

Gradually the idea of an integrated online what’s on guide developed into a full-featured community hub, featuring news and articles from village residents, a directory of local clubs, societies and businesses, a downloads section for items such as local bus timetables and a gallery of resident’s photos.

Please note that Lisa runs The Wilsden Hub as a non-profit-making venture. No money is raised through advertising or anything else. If you are a local business and you would like to promote yourself through a listing in our businesses directory and/or an article about yourself, you can do so for free by contacting Lisa with your details.

The Wilsden Hub website was designed by Melting Clock Web Design.
